Aiken, SC Paralegal Position The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping people and will be willing to take on new challenges.
This position is responsible for supporting the attorneys and staff with a variety of tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the law firm.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Assist with drafting pleadings, motions, motions, court forms, and other legal documents.
Prepare discovery and discovery responses.
Prepare and file motions, petitions, motions to dismiss, and other legal documents.
Prepare trial briefs.
Drafting contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Preparing motions, briefs, and other legal documents for court appearances.
Preparing client documents such as client letters, client calendars, client summaries, and client billing statements for billing review.
Preparing depositions for attorney review.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Experience:
Required:
Paralegal experience is required with knowledge of basic legal terminology such as jurisdiction or prescriptive authority preferred but not required.
Knowledge of court procedures including discovery is required along with familiarity with basic computer programs including Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro (Required).
Knowledge of the law firm's practice area is required along with familiarity with the law firm's practice area (Required).
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping people and will be willing to take on new challenges.
This position requires someone who has a strong work ethic and can work independently as well as in a team environment while also having excellent interpersonal skills.
