Southern Regeneration Intern (Part-time)
Weyerhaeuser's Southern Regeneration team is offering part-time internships to students in Forestry or Agriculture throughout the southeastern U.
S.
These positions are part of the Southern Regeneration team within Southern Timberlands and reports to the Nursery Production Supervisor.
Positions are part-time and temporary .
Weyerhaeuser offers interns a competitive compensation package.
Locations available:
Aiken, SC, Hazlehurst, MS and Magnolia, ARThis program is designed to give students a valuable learning experience, including exposure to different geographic areas and work group concepts.
You will work with an individualized work plan and a personal sponsor.
You will also be given ample feedback on your performance while having the opportunity to give feedback on ways to enhance the program.
Students will receive:
An individualized work plan and clear expectations for the length of the internship An opportunity for exposure to a broad base of professional forestry experiences Feedback on their performance A Weyerhaeuser sponsor at their location to help them integrate into the business unit as well as to acclimate to the community Competitive compensation An opportunity to provide feedback to help improve their own internship program The opportunity to return to the same or different Weyerhaeuser location as an intern next year Assessment for a full-time position upon graduation Enrolled in an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's program in Forestry, Agriculture or related field at an accredited college or university Must have started your freshman year by the start of the internship Demonstrate strong academic achievement Must have a valid driver's license Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Ability to meet the physical demands of the role including but not limited to safely lifting up to 50lbs, reaching overhead, standing or sitting for long periods of time Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions including extremes of hot & cold Ability or willingness to learn to operate equipment including tractors and associated implements, forklifts, maintenance knowledge Successful candidates will also have:
