2K a year 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated professional Benefits Analyst to support the administration of the organization's benefits programs, strategies and policies that enable SRNL to attract, retain, and develop an exceptional workforce.
In this position, you will be part of team that provides assistance for medical, dental, life, vision, HSA and FSA and several other benefits programs.
As an important contributor to the Human Resources team, you will provide excellent customer service during interactions with staff and non-staff.
The work week is a 9/80's schedule with every other Friday off.
This position will report to the Benefits Leader.
Roles and
Responsibilities:
Performs day-to-day operations of various health & welfare programs including eligibility determination and enrollment processing to ensure financial and operational accuracy as well as compliance.
Analyzes benefits data and ensures accurate determination of plan benefits and eligibility.
Provides high-level support for plan interpretation and technical research.
Assist in overseeing the administration of plans by third party administrators, if applicable.
Consults with and advises staff and family members on benefits eligibility, options, and procedures.
Support employees with benefit inquiries and concerns including general benefits education and resolving complex claim issues.
Provides information, support and guidance to benefits employees and/or third-party administrators.
Maintains financial reporting and summary plan information, Provide support with Health Savings Account (HSA) management and processing including contribution changes, funding, and compliance with IRS regulations.
Assist with a variety of tasks related to annual enrollment, qualifying life event changes, implementation of new vendors, and onboarding employees for benefits.
Assist with special benefit projects and employee presentations throughout the year.
Draft and coordinate the distribution of communications to participants, as needed.
Support audit activities and the accuracy of data and benefit records in the HRIS system.
Operate in accordance with Plan policies, procedures, and standards to ensure a level of professionalism and prompt, accurate service to employees and insurance carriers.
Communicate professionally, tactfully, and with the utmost diplomacy at all times.
Set and maintain high standards of integrity, values, and ethics to guide organizational expectations, commitments, and culture.
Maintain confidentiality as appropriate.
Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers in a professional manner, and assist visitors as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or human resources or related field with 5 or more years of benefits experience.
A broad understanding of benefits programs and concepts; ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems using precedents or policies.
Computer skills including proficiency with MS-Office software as well as excellent customer relations and communications skills.
Proven ability to work in a consultative manner as a team member in a collaborative environment.
Excellent time management, interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, decision-making, and planning skills are a key to success.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
Proven ability to meet the responsibilities of this position in a professional and ethical manner and possess the ability to maintain a consistent work schedule during core hours to meet the needs of staff.
Ability to work on multiple tasks in a limited amount of time in a fast-paced environment and the ability to set priorities appropriately to accomplish multiple tasks.
Position also requires input on short and long-range goals to create plans for benefit plan design and implementation.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC) Experience with Peoplesoft/ Oracle software or other HRIS experience is a plus.
Certifications from human resources professional organizations, e.
g.
, Society for Human Resource Management and World at Work.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
