1973 Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 with the 4.
4L Colombo V12 producing 340 bhpIn 1972, just a year after the launch of the GTC/4, a new 2+2 debuted at the Paris Motor Show:
the 365 GT4 2+2.
The name refers to the single cylinder displacement (365 cc), four overhead camshafts (GT4) and seat configuration (2+2).
Most of the mechanicals, including the 4,390 cc engine, were carried over from its predecessor.
The V12 used six side-draft Weber 38 DCOE 59/60 carburetors and produced 340 PS (250 kW) at 6200 rpm.
The gearbox was a five-speed, all-synchromesh manual with a single-plate clutch.
Five-spoke alloy wheels were mounted on Rudge knock-off hubs; Borrani wire wheels were still offered at extra cost.
Fittingly for a large grand tourer, standard equipment included leather upholstery, electric windows and air conditioning.
524 units were produced, including 3 prototypes.
The GT4 was replaced in 1976 by the nearly identical looking Ferrari 400.
Introducing our spectacular 365 GT4 2+2, a truly great example with the legendary Colombo V12 engine.
She was delivered to the Ferrari Dealership in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Where she was purchased by her first owner who kept her until 1988.
She was then bought by 2 other German owners and later by a Parisien collector in 2000.
She stayed in France until she was imported back into her home country, Italy.
At Carcave, we love Ferraris from this era and especially the ones with the Colombo V12.
This example we fell in love with immediately when we saw her in Italy as she is in clean and original condition throughout with her paint having been refreshed to match the rest of her quality.
You can tell that all of her owners have taken great care of her throughout the years, cosmetically as well as mechanically.
Enzo Ferrari loved this car for its elegant lines that did not scream but still managed to excite.
And we agree for sure.
Inside you will find an all original interior with black leather seats and red carpets that are in great condition.
A truly comfortable place in which you and your passengers will drive many fun miles on long road trips.
Her wooden dashboard completes the period look.
She also comes with the desired Becker Mexico radio that brings you music in the style of the 1970s.
Mechanically she does not disappoint either with her 4.
4L Colombo V12, which drives and sounds amazing.
Her engine and gearbox are matching numbers with them being well maintained throughout their lifetime according to all of the invoices.
Her clutch was replaced about 15.
000km ago, which is always great on any manual Ferrari.
You will be glad to hear that her engine heads were revised and upgraded to run unleaded fuel.
We gave the mechanicals our seal of approval, meaning that she is ready for her next adventure.
Whether it is going to the South of France or to the supermarket.
We are pleased to bring this wonderful example of a Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 to market.
A rare opportunity today and viewing is thoroughly recommended.
