1981 Fiat 131 Abarth Rally Tribute powered by the 2.
0L twin cam 4 cylinder engine producing 115 bhp (approx.
)The customer is always right in racing too.
And Fiat's official entrance to the world of rally racing proved exactly this.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Fiat received requests from private customers to support them in rally competitions with the 124 Sport Spider.
In 1971, Fiat took over Abarth, turning it into the official racing department.
The Fiat Racing Team debuted in 1972 with the 124 Abarth Rally Group 4, achieving great success.
In 1976, aiming to boost sales, Fiat replaced the aging 124 line with the Fiat 131 sedan, transformed into a high-performance racing car.
The Bertone Style Centre designed its lightweight body using fiberglass and aluminum.
With 400 units built between 1976 and 1978, the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally Gr.
4 quickly dominated global competitions.
Our 131 Rally is a great tribute to the original racing cars but with the looks of a clean street car.
With her genuine 2 door body and great running gear.
We purchased her in Italy where she was given a full restoration.
Here she was converted to an Abarth Rally Tribute with her wider fenders, correct bumper and much more.
Our 131 has been painted in this heritage Blue Francia colour.
Driving this 131 is an exciting experience.
From the sound to the raw sensation of driving.
You will feel like a true connoisseur while driving her.
This is thanks to the mechanicals which have had an overhaul during the restoration.
Her correct 2.
0L twin cam engine was completely revised with new pistons, oil pump, etc.
Same goes for her twin cam head.
Mechanically she was also upgraded to an Abarth spec with a 5 speed Abarth gearbox and new clutch, suspension, carburetors, etc.
She really has undergone a full restoration.
Inside you will find a sporty interior that matches her outside very well, with her seats being reupholstered to match the Abarth and the exterior with the blue striping.
Her interior still maintains the original look and feel even though she has been restored.
This you will not find again, or maybe you will but it will be rusted out.
This iconic model is very rare, very fast and very cool.
She has not received a cool racing livery yet.
She is a blank canvas that you can design to your own desire.
Our Fiat 131 can be registered als a classic car or it can be registered as a daily driver.
